On a recent episode of ASI Radio, the hosts talked about brands that are expected to be gone by 2015, including the U.S. Postal Service. Do you agree that the USPS will eventually be gone?

Justin Graham

Unless it somehow becomes privatized, yes. It’s a money vacuum right now and they won’t make the changes needed to reverse it. It’s quite sad to me.

Travis Holland

Yes, because they are rude and not a successful entity. If I ran my business and lost as much money as they have, then I would have been out of business years ago!

Dawn Kallio

I certainly hope not. I doubt I could afford the privatization of the post office. After all, in order to privatize it has to turn a profit for the shareholders and be able to pay its CEO millions in bonuses. But who knows, getting rid of any pension plan or health insurance, they may be able to do it. Besides, what’s $2 or $3 to mail a letter, right? BTW they don’t lose money and they get no government “assistance or subsidy.” Their cash woes are largely due to the government taking huge payments now for benefits to be paid 20 years from now.
